Large Diaphragm Tube Condenser Microphone

Inspired by the U47 that revolutionised studio recording in 1947, the Kiwara KA-47 is a vintage-style tube microphone for professionals who want that classic weight and presence in a modern signal chain.

A custom M7-style capsule and BV08 output transformer are paired with a rare NOS tube and a dedicated power supply, with a cardioid and omnidirectional switch for flexibility. Power supply, tube cable, shock mount and wooden case are included.

Custom M7 Capsule
The KA-47 capsule reproduces the vintage M7 design, with a precision-machined brass housing and a hand-tuned dual diaphragm, to recreate the warmth and depth that made the original famous.

BV08 Output Transformer
Kiwara’s BV08 is a recreation of the vintage transformer, built to the same specifications. It delivers a warm low end, an open midrange and silky highs, with tonal integrity from top to bottom.

Carefully Chosen Components
A rare GE NOS tube and matched high-end resistors and capacitors keep the signal path consistent. Cardioid and omnidirectional patterns are switchable, and the Mogami tube cable finishes with a Tuchel connector.
